Tibetan Children’s Village

Join our Sacred Studies community in supporting the integrated educational community for destitute Tibetan children in Dharamsala, India. The Grandmothers are sponsoring 5 refugee children for 10 years until 2016.  

Brave Heart Society

Join our Sacred Studies community along with the Grandmothers in our actions for the preservation of Dakota/Lakota/Nakota culture for the coming generations. The Grandmothers supported the Brave Heart Society youth initiations, Young Men’s Society, Grandmother Circles and sacred site preservation.

Death to Meth

Join our Sacred Studies community of ministers and peoples of prayerful action to support the drug abuse prevention program for youth on the Oglala Lakota Pine Ridge Reservation. Grandmothers supported the 2008 concert for delivering the message through music.

Micinski-Micunski (My Son, My Daughter)

Join the Sacred Studies community in support of the project to reduce the number of tribal children in tribal, state or federal corrections facilities. Grandmothers supported their efforts in intervention and prevention for troubled youth.

Youth Ambassador Program  

Support our Sacred Studies global community in bringing youth from around the world to gather in solidarity for actions of peace and unity. The Youth Ambassador Program enlists their involvement in carrying out the teachings from the Grandmothers and elders around the world.  The Council Grandmothers have supported the travel fund for the Grandmother Youth Ambassadors to travel with the Grandmothers to their Council Gatherings.

 

Mission Statement for Center for Sacred Studies

The Center for Sacred Studies (CSS) is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to sustaining indigenous ways of life through cross-cultural spiritual practices, ministry and education, and a commitment to peace and unity for all peoples.

CSS activities include providing prayer services, ceremonies, and a variety of gatherings for worship, according to various traditions. The purpose of these offerings is to invite individuals, families, and communities to develop devotion, and to strengthen their relationship to the Divine.
